At the fagend of 2000, YHAI launched an ambitious scheme of starting 200 Licensee Youth Hostels throughout India as a part of Strategy and Vision 2000-2006 Plan of IYHF (now Hostelling International). By this time eighty hostels have been commissioned at popular tourist spots at par with the IYHF Standards.
The properties which successfully affiliate with YHAI are termed as Youth Hostels and are benefitted as:
Uploading Franchisee information on the website and printing franchisee information in YHAI guidebooks and in further issues
Publicity of the propert as the Youth Hostel, nationwide via 23 State Branches and 233 Branch Units
